As completion of its cannon gun restoration project Derry City Council today launched the 'Great Guns like Thunder' publication at the Verbal Arts Centre. The definitive publication on the provenance of the city's unique collection of cannon was jointly launched by the Minister for the Environment, Arlene Foster, MLA, Alderman Drew Thompson, Mayor, Derry City Council and the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman David Lewis. The publication of the book by local company, Guildhall Press, marks the culmination of over four years research by Dr. Brian Scott and his co-authors.
