Artists Wyllie O Hagan on their way to visiting a garden from the NGS's Yellow Book get caught up in the excitement of the Southend Shakedown - an annual event where 20,000 bikers leave the ACE Cafe on the North Circular Road in London and ride to Southend.

Artist Denise Wyllie in conversation with Clare O Hagan at Myddleton House, Enfield, to the North of London, UK. The house and garden was home to noted RHS fellow and horticulturist Edward Augustus Bowles (1865 - 1954). Wyllie, a painter, master printmaker and plantswoman has painted this garden for many years. London based artists Wyllie O Hagan, watched thousands of videos, on YouTube, over the weekend. Why? To launch an online film competition showing how YouTubers around the world celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
“The competition rules were simple”, says Irish born artist Clare O Hagan. “We looked for films that did not contain caterwailing drunks in big Guinness hats, no leprechauns having sex, no painted green boobs or big green bums.”
Viewing of films started early St Patrick’s Day morning, with 1000 films online. Numbers rose to near 4000 after the weekend. Progress was reported via a daily online report. Thirty films were selected, including “Wally’s Bees on St Patrick’s Day” and “Runescape Tip.It St. Patricks Day freak train.”
O Hagan continues “We had to dig deep, but we have found some real gems. We are delighted to report that St Patrick’s Day retains its magic.”

Sadie the Hound Dog has come for her Easter Holidays
We have Sadie, the beautiful 7 year old Basset Hound dog with us for ten days over the Easter Holiday. Sadie is a typical basset - beautiful and immensely stubborn. Sadie hates the camera, she certainly doesn't perform - however, we have filmed her and she looks great.
